Alpha Course
Monday nights 7-9 pm, 24th August - 21st September 2026
Try Alpha and explore life, meaning and faith!
Alpha is a great place to meet others and have meaningful conversations about the things that matter in life.
Each week we have a meal together, watch a short video, and you have a chance to ask your questions. Everyone is welcome, and it’s free!
Playtime Alpha
11 am - 12 pm, Tuesday , 25 August - 15 September
The Alpha Course is an inclusive and non-judgmental exploration of life's big questions, designed for people from all walks of life, regardless of their religious or cultural background. It starts straight after we finish playtime. We will enjoy a light lunch, watch a short video, and join in a relaxed discussion. Meanwhile, a creche will run for the kids.
*All helpers have WWCC and have undergone child protection training
Come and See
Mondays, 7 pm -8:30 pm
Come and See is perfect for anyone who has done Alpha and wants to know how to live the life they were made to live.
Jesus made one of the biggest claims ever when he said: “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John’s Gospel, Chapter 10, Verse 10)
Whether you’re still asking life’s big questions, looking for a fresh start, or new to the Christian faith, Come & See is a chance to get together with others and see what the Bible says about Jesus and the life he offers. No prior knowledge or experience is required. Come and see!
All-In Training
20th September 2026
Our final All-In Training day for the year is an opportunity for every volunteer to be encouraged, equipped and reminded that we’re part of something bigger than our own teams.
Come ready to grow, build resilience and gain practical skills and renewed confidence to keep serving with joy. What we do matters—and every team plays a part in helping people know Jesus.
Please make it a priority to join us!
MTS Afternoon Tea
27th September 2026
The Ministry Training Strategy (MTS) is a great way to immerse yourself in Christian ministry for a couple of years, grow in your love for Jesus and consider whether full-time ministry is worth pursuing.
We would love to encourage many members of our church to consider an MTS Apprenticeship. Come along to the information afternoon tea on 27 September to hear more.
Week of Prayer
12- 16 October 2026
“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” (Col 4:2)
Week of Prayer is for our whole St Stephen’s church family to come before our heavenly Father in prayer and commit the year before us to Him. We are weak and dependent, but through Christ, we have a loving Father who delights to hear us.
Every night we will meet from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm (1- 2 pm on Friday) in the Chapel Hall. You might want to come with your GaP group on the night you usually meet, or you may want to come multiple nights. Everyone is welcome as we bring our church ministries and members before our loving God.
HPS Youth Sleepover
16–17 October | 6:30 pm Friday – 6:30 pm Saturday | Cost: $70
Night Church Weekend Away
23rd - 25th October 2026
Get ready for a refreshing weekend away with our Night Church community!
Whether you’re new to Night Church or have been part of the community for years, Weekend Away is a wonderful opportunity to step out of the usual routine, enjoy time together, deepen friendships, and grow in faith as we gather around God’s Word.
This year, we’re heading to Galston Conference Centre, just 45 minutes north of Willoughby. Surrounded by beautiful bushland, it’s a great place to slow down, enjoy God’s creation, and spend quality time together as a church family.
We’d love you to join us for what is always a highlight of the year!
