International Food Feast

9 August

One of the best things about living in Willoughby, Chatswood and Artarmon is the food and cultural diversity of our community. We want to invite you to celebrate this at our International Food Feast on Friday 9 August, 7-9:30pm at St Stephen’s Willoughby.

Bring a dish from your home culture to share with us, or simply come along for the best $10 you’ll ever spend on a meal!

We hope sharing food will help us connect with others from different cultures, nationalities and faiths. During the feast, we’ll watch a video from the internationally-renowned Alpha course which we hope will open up conversations about life and faith.

Alpha Course

12 August – 9 September

Try Alpha and explore life, meaning and faith!

Alpha is a great place to meet others and have meaningful conversations about the things that matter in life. Each week you eat dinner together, watch a short video and have a chance to ask your questions. Everyone is welcome and it’s free! Alpha starts Monday 12 August, 7-9pm for every Monday night until 9 September.

Newish Morning Tea

If you consider yourself new to St Stephen’s then we want to welcome you. We run Newish Morning Teas throughout the term to help people get their bearings, meet staff and other new people and take a step further into the church life.

Why not visit a 9:45am service and join us straight after at one of our upcoming morning teas this Winter.

Hope Explored Course

Thursday nights – 6th & 13th June

Over three sessions, the Hope Explored course presents how the life, death and resurrection of Jesus provides hope, peace and purpose. The structure of each night is simple: dinner, a short video, a chance to discover for yourself what the Bible says, and a chance to ask any questions—all over food and drink. It’s honest, casual and meaningful.
Evangelism Training

Wednesdays 19 & 26 June
There are 60,000 people living around us and we want to be better equipped to share Jesus with them. Our Evangelism Training nights, on Wednesdays 19 and 26 June from 7-9pm, aim to do this. On 19 June, Gordon will help us think about what to do when evangelism feels hard and discouraging. On 26 June, Clive Buutjens (who helps the Diocese think about evangelism to Hindu-background people groups), will help us think about how we can bring our sub-continental neighbours to Christ. This is the fastest growing people group in our neighbourhood, and we long to see them come to Christ.
